My firm is now ready to build a Media sharing site (videos, audios, photos, creating groups, chatrooms and forums, messaging, blogs, voting etc)
We need to be able to administer and manage the whole site (back office), and manage content efficiently.

The website is intended to be a communication tool for people to share images and videos, audio clips and their journals/blog links. It is also meant to be an educational tool for non-members who might have a need for audio/visual material. This sharing component is extremely important and must be well implemented.

What We have

1. Media Share Script installed on the server written in php and mysql database.
2. Design references of the elements we require in the site, which will be provided to the successful applicant. In addition to the overall look and feel we require.
3. Site map and navigation.
4. Branding and all logos will be provided once the design is decided
5. We will enter the copy as it has all been prepared and will be entered once the design is completed.

What We require

Stylish tableless CSS / XHTML template for a restyling of a media sharing website to be integrated with our existing script, mediasharesuite.
Design should meet the latest web 2.0 standards / trends. No tables, No in-line CSS, valid XHTML / CSS, PNG images, No Javascript, SEO, small file size and should be capable to integrate it with other languages (Multilanguage)
A number of template designs,
1. Homepage
2. Video page
3. Photo page
4. Journal and blog links page
5. Search results page.
Other may be added also but ideal the header and footer of all these pages will be the same.

A three level system: – Guest (uploading capabilities only, not allowed to post comments) – Registered-users (uploading, ability to post comments, use shoutbox) – Administrators (capacity to fully control and maintain the site and database)

Some project requirements:
a) The project should be built within 30 days.
b) Visitors will be able to choose to view the site in multiple languages (will do the translation ourselves).
c) 3 levels of use, Admin, User, Guest
d) Site works like a database where you can search through keywords for videos and photographs, audio clips, photos and other documents.
e) Ability to track users (we need to have their contact data available), stats
f) The site should be easy to maintain and backup (even by someone who is not a programmer)
g) *Videos/Photos/Audio/Journals – Users need to be able to upload videos/photos/Audio/Journals to their profiles(Youtube etc…).. Users can add videos/photos/Audio/Journals to their favourites (profile), embed, share with friends and add comments. The existing script allows this however I would like the addition of document uploading also.
h) Users will Flag any inappropriate content (This will be necessary for all areas of the site).
i) Integrate advertising into design of the site
j) Should be able to upload new banner ads and skyscrapers into specific areas of our site and process payments. These areas will be specified.
k) Shoutbox on the homepage for users to converse

We need to be able to control and manage the entire website. A strong content management system (CMS) that is already in the script may need to be further adapted for the new requirements. We need to be able to make quick and easy changes to all pages.
An important feature of the admin will be our ability to add new user areas.

It is important to note that the existing script already has some of these functionalities and there will be no requirement to alter it.

Ideal Candidate

Prior experience and portfolio required
a) must have a demo available and at least three references
b) will be required to communicate fluently in English
c) will be reachable through e-mail and skype and messenger on a daily basis
d) will provide me with daily updates as well as links to previews/designs
e) Any additional code will have to be documented
f) Site must be robust enough for additional future developments.
g) will manage the load of the code to our server and test the site to ensure operations.
h) will be paid when reaching milestones.
i) Well documented installation description and design guide.
j) Timeline for completion
k) Winning candidate or firm can show experience working with packages like youtube (clip-share etc).
l) Has extensive experience in design implementation, database changes in html, CSS,php, mysql and AJAX

Only serious programmers/designers.

Will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Once you have finished the project, you will NOT be able:
a) to keep the source codes, scripts, designs for reselling.
b) to resell the source files.

We will place the agreed amount on escrow (trust) and will release it when the site is designed and fully operational to the specified standards.

We have a number of references of how we envision the site in completion. Particularly a number of various elements we wish to be included in the site. Therefore no actual creative design work may be required as maybe some of these references can be ‘adapted’ to our site.

Please note we have a number of other ventures that will require web design and implementation. If we find someone good, professional and dependable there may be bigger jobs in the future.
