User Interface (UI) Designer / Sr. Developer

We are currently seeking an Sr. User Interface (UI) Designer to join us in our Montvale office.
Responsibilities:-
- Create visual design and information design templates for multiple levels of site hierarchy
-Create storyboards, screen shots and documentation for the user interface.
- Lead task flow analysis and UI walk-through's with business and technical team members new design, enhance existing UI to a Web 2.0 based look and feel.
-Working with the development teams to refine UI design as they are implemented
-Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements, the designer will translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience.
-Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
-Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve and streamline the user experience
Qualifications:
-5 years experience designing user interfaces for Web and/or collaborative applications
- Strong visual design and graphical/illustration skills, along with prototyping skills on interactive visualization technologies such as DHTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.
- Experience in defining & documenting end-to-end user experience, including user workflows, application layout, design of specific UI screens and components.
- Expertise in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Illustrator
- Ability to animate designs in Flash or ImageReady.
- Possess strong ability to interpret and code : XHTML, JavaScript,Cascading Style Sheets, and Flash ActionScript.
- Knowledgeable of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
- Ability to be creative while working conforming to style or development guidelines and standards
- Experience with using content management system(s)
- Bachelor’s degree in from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- Strong documentation, Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a team culture
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and achieve quality results on time with minimal support.
